#017 — DICO NEMUS
Dico Nemus’ fast paced sound is best descriped as ultra-driven, raw and wicked. With a plethora of original tracks, his sets are crafted with intense focus on energy and drive, while pushing the synthy soundscapes that defines his sound to the front.
My idea was to put together some tracks that I've really loved recently into a mix, that sits somewhere between techno and trance soundscapes. Still I wanted to make it less about showcasing individual tracks and more about how they interact.
I’m a total producer DJ, I like to center everything around my own tracks. How my mixes move and play out is totally influenced by what I'm producing lately, even if I don't play any of my own tracks the mentality is still there. I'm especially drawn into tracks that have weird or trippy sounds that are slightly off-centre. Unexpected stuff that keeps people on their toes. Not just in an experimental way, but also something that twists familiarity just enough to feel different.
I also like when a set has a bit of friction to it—when it gets a little rowdy or unpredictable without losing direction.
More of the sounds I've been building. I'm gonna be working on new music a lot, trying to throw some ideas in the air and seeing if any of them hold up. Can’t wait to showcase these new tracks soon, they’ll definitely pop up in my mixes here and there in the near future.
